Chew the fat...
Dear Nicky,
Sorry I haven't been very informative the last several posts. At the end of the day lately, I'm so tired I can't really think or remember much to say. Did I mention the other day at Stones you had a substitute PT who you didn't care for, thereby not accomplishing much during PT? But you more than made up for it in OT, and I was told by Maria, who just adores you, that you did well in the sensory input part of the show. Anyway, today your nanny was here and got you to eat chicken and potatoes. With me you're not eating much these days. I think it's your desire to do it yourself, but you still lack the skills, I'm afraid. I try to show you, but it's still quite a challenge. On a brighter note, I think walking is right around the corner. I saw you take a few "bear" type steps earlier today, which I hope will lead to assuming an upright and forward moving stance soon. Day by day, your progress seems slow but steady, but looking over the last six months, you've made tremendous gains physically and verbally. Of course cognitively you've been on the ball since day one.
Love,
Dad
