Playing catchup...
Dear Nicky,
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday were days were I simply couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to tell you what happened on those particular days. It's your own fault, waking us up at 4:30 Wednesday morning, 2:30 Thursday morning, and 5:00 on Friday. Oh, and around 5:00 this morning. We know you can't help it. You're probably going through a growth spurt and you're teething, which is no doubt making you insane.
Anyway, not much happened on Wednesday. Shelby came over in the morning, you did really well with her therapy. Then you ate, slept, played, ate, slept, played, etc. We have been giving you a few fruit puffs in your morning cereal to introduce you to different food textures. You sort of hate them, but I think you're gradually getting used to them; you're crying less each time, anyway.
Thursday, you woke up at 2:30 in the morning hungry as a bear, which was impressive because you ate quite well during the day. So after you pounded 8 ounces and went back to sleep, I was up till 4:30 because I couldn't go back to sleep. Fortunately Mom had already made plans to go to Stepping Stones, so she ended up taking you while I stayed home, chilled, and cleaned up the house. Too bad I couldn't make it, because Mom said you were great in PT and OT. Later that day Tim your other PT came over and gave you an excellent workout. And that was Thursday.
Yesterday was Friday, and we went out to St. Barnabas Hospital so Mom could have her 20-week ultrasound. It was fast and mellow and no surprises. Your little sister June is looking just fine. On the way home we stopped at Target, came home, and hung out while you took a really long nap, which was the most impressive thing of the day.
This morning we went out with our Realtor and looked at a bunch of overpriced houses. We'd like to find a nice house for a decent price. All the houses we saw were ridiculously expensive and they were all chockablock on top of each other. I hope we can find one we like soon. You were so well behaved the whole time. When we came back you took a nap while Mom went to get cheese steaks. Then I fed you, and Mom took you out to get a present for this friend of ours who's having a baby shower tomorrow, on Superbowl Sunday if you can believe it. Then you ate, we gave you a bath, which you really seemed to enjoy (I refer to the marked increasing in splashing that you did; it was quite fascinating), we peeled off the last of those wound strips, then we gave you a bottle, and you were out for the night. Mom and I had some creamy pasta with imported prosciutto.
And now you're all caught up!
Love,
Dad
